Electrical Bio-modulation Treatments

The electrical Bio-modulation therapy was designed and invented by Dr. Gerald
Tennant who is a board-certified ophthalmologist who had developed LASIX of the cataracts lens and many other patents for ophthalmology.  He developed Electrical Bio-modulation Treatments in Russia where they had a device called ENART (Energo-neuro-adaptivereceptor therapy). This technology included the CENAR and the PROLOGUE devices. This technology is a powerful therapeutic device for pain relief and general medical care. The electrical Bio-modulation treatment developed by Dr. Tennant has been approved by the FDA.

The ENART devices from Russia were originally part of a secret project from one of Russia’s leading engineering institutes to give Cosmonauts medical care in space. There wasn't room to bring along enough pharmaceuticals to take care of the wide range of health problems and the drugs would pollute the recycled water supply in the spacecraft.

Ironically electrical Bio-modulation devices were never used in space because the funds for space exploration was stopped. Electrical Bio-modulation treatment devices originated from the use of neuro electrotherapy and from the study of Eastern medicine and traditional Chinese medicine Meridians as well as contact zonal massage to painful areas to stimulate the sensory nerves. The equipment was developed to read magnetic effects from skin and have these changes regulate the pressure or responses from these Meridian and contact zonal massage areas. Clinical studies in Russia and other European countries showed these changing pressures created remarkable improvements in the patient’s conditions.

The Tennant electrical Bio-modulation devices are non invasive regulators of body functions and create ideal conditions for the body to heal itself using its own internal pharmacy of neuropeptides. This allows the body to choose the most appropriate chemical combination for each particular condition by influencing the cell and tissue biochemistry and electrical reactions by the chemicals itself.

The human body naturally resists all outside influences whether drugs, electrical stimulation or whatever therapy we give it. The Tennant electrical Bio-modulation devices generate signals with much higher amplitude and lower pulse than other devices known such as the TENS units or electrical stimulation devices that are available in the treatment of pain. The Bio-modulator has dynamically changing signals so when the Bio-modulator devices are applied directly to the skin, they achieve a dialogue or Biofeedback between the body and the device. These signals operate mainly throughout the thin neuron C-fibers (pain fibers that are small and unmyelinated), they are distributed through 70% of the body, as well as working through the energy Meridian and autonomic nervous systems. Each signal from this device helps regulate the bodies’ functions and is controlled by the body through the feedback loop, thus influencing the autonomic nervous system and the pain fibers itself, thus creating a healing response to this stimulation. There are no two consecutive signals from this device that are ever the same. This allows treatment to be truly a dynamic adjusting for the state of the body from moment to moment and as the person’s condition changes and improves.

The principle of utilizing this type of electrical Bio-modulation therapy technology is, we are considering the body from the totally holistic point of view, turning the current therapy of cell pathology to bring it back to a healing process. Rather than, for example, looking at a liver by examining liver cells, we take the holistic view and consider the whole body as a single unit in functional terms. The principle of using this device is, we look at the illness as something going on with the entire body system, not just the particular organ. The aim is not to fight illness by fighting symptoms but to work with the body for the healing of the whole system by enabling us to utilize the autonomic nervous systems as well as the Meridian systems and the areas of complaints.

Research in Europe shows that the ENART devices had almost 70% success rate for skin diseases and between 80-90% success rate for diseases of the circulatory, respiratory system, digestive systems, urinary and nervous systems as well as the musculoskeletal system. Scientific articles did state that the more chronic the condition, it takes longer to clear and one must understand the cause of complaint and the process it may take to heal.

It is also found that electrical Bio-modulation therapy does not work well with antibiotics and the use of antidepressants and steroids could hinder the best results by slowing down the healing process.

It has been found that the disorders and injuries of the peripheral nervous system
that these type of Bio-modulator devices can help the disorders of the peripheral nervous system, neuritis, polyneuritis, plexitis, polyradicular neuritis/neuralgias,
myositis, cervicalgia, cervical brachialgia, thoracalgia, lumbar pain, radicular

Surgical failed back surgical syndrome, reactionary arthritis, epicondylitis, strain/strains, contusions, hematomas, circulatory disorders of hypertension, arterial hypotension, peripheral blood vessel disorders and neural circulatory dystonias, respiratory disorders of acute respiratory disorders such as rhinitis, trachitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, and bronchial spasms, ear/nose/throat disorders, laryngitis, maxillary sinusitis, and frontal sinusitis, gastric disorders such as gastritis, stomach and duodenal ulcers, cholecystitis, gastroduodenitis, urogenital disorders such as cystalgia, cystitis, prostatitis, chronic ovarian inflammation and painful menstruation.
